“The Sermon” was inspired by Wilmington, Delaware’s rally in support of justice for the murder of Trayvon Martin. I was approached by A. Michael Byrd Productions and asked create a song relevant to Martin’s murder. I used this as an opportunity to speak not only about Trayvon Martin, but also about all social, racial and economic injustices occurring across America.
